Late Night Ride

I was feeling a bit antsy so I went for a little ride in my car. It is a beautiful night. The temperature is perfect and there is a nice breeze. I had all the windows down while listening to Miles Davis. I would have liked to keep driving, but my contacts were acting up on me.

I really enjoy the quaintness of late summer nights. They're perfect for taking walks and just admiring the quiet and the calm.

But the fall is fast approaching, which I am looking forward to as it's my favorite season.

Late summer nights are the best, though.

 

ahh that was beautiful, that's exactly what i love about summer. i love evening night drives with the radio up and the windows down...there is somethinga bout it that's kinda poetic. *sighs*
and even today it rained. It was one of those warm rains...so i went out and just stood there basking in the wet warmth....i even layed in the grass and just enjoyed it...it's sad that summer is almost over. but good thread

 

I miss Vermont for that very reason - just taking a drive, especially with a full moon on a quiet country dirt road. Sometimes here in Florida I drive down to the beach at night, but the plethora of police officers everywhere always seem to make their presence known. Retirees like it that way - it fits the gated community lifestyle that is commonplace down here.

Summer nights are awesome... I've been for a couple drives this week. What's funny is that my little gas thing has been on "E" for like four days, but I haven't completely run out yet.... *knocks on wood* I'm dreading the cold weather... I hate it so much! Waaaah!

haha... you missed me? They've been laying tile in my computer room, so I couldn't come in here. I've also been super-busy registering for school and trying to get this guy to rent me his apartment and find a job.... oy.

The only thing I like better than driving through the mountains here is having someone else drive through so I can enjoy the view.

 

I cannot wait for fall. Fall is definitely the nicest season here. Summer is actually the worst. It's really windy and cold. Fall is filled with wonderful beautiful thunder storms and at the same time it is the sunniest season.

Right now it is just really foggy and raining like a bitch.
