So come on, out with it, what was the last CD or LP (could happen!) you bought? Failing that, what was the last album you illegally downloaded?oliceman
I bought a couple recently in the tragic music zone closing down sale...The new Gruff Rhys album "Candylion", which is rather good is you ask this huge SFA fan The other one I picked up was Gogol Bordello's "Gypsy Punks" (Think that's what it's called). I saw them by accident at Leeds in the summer and it was some crazy shit! The album hasn't quite grabbed me in the same way, but I'm sure early on in a drunken evening it could go down very well.
Martin Simpson: The Definitive Collection (a snip at £3.99) along with the Radio 2 Folk Awards (£8.99 for 3 discs). Yes, I do have a beard.
The last album I paid for was a Miles Davis CD The last albums I came accross around the same time Spiritualized "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space" Bedouin Soundclash "Sounding a Mosaic" Colin Hay "Going Somewhere"
Mine was Talking Heads, 77 (their first album I think) Haven't given it much of a listen yet, but it's got the classic Psycho Killer on it, top song.
Freddie King - Stayin' Home WIth The Blues Sonny Boy Williamson - Good Mornin' Little Schoolgirl BB King - The Very Best Of Howlin' Wolf - The Collection Dr John with the Donald Harrison Band - Funky New Orleans Some guys I know from a guitar forum recommended 'em for inspiration
That was one of my last ones too! HW -the collection Nick Drake- 5 leaves left Led zeppelin - 3 Woody Guthrie - dust bowl ballads all for £20!
Heh, me too. Got to love the budget section of Virgin...surprisingly good albums/compilations, but since hardly anyone buys 'em anymore they're dirt cheap I saw him touring with that record...Manchester, it was I hear he's doing one final album with the E Street Band, touring that one, then they're going their seperate ways
