The US have allowed migrants to cross the border to work for decades, but this is not the problem.
According to one of our friends, the main problems are drug related, made complex by the corrupt special forces who are on the payroll for drugs crossing the border.

Donald Trump's first manifesto sounded great to me, but as soon as our friend heard it he said, sadly Trump will have to go. No sooner did his plans for stopping the drugs trade by building his famous wall, along with his plans to limit imports from China to return manufacturing to the US hit the news, did all the fake news start. The wall was just a ploy, telling the border forces that he knew what they were up to, While banning Chinese imports would have bankrupt the corrupt corporations who make billions without providing a single job in the US. It was estimated that Levi's would have lasted for about months. They were certainly not the only ones.

Perhaps the REAL problem in the US is their fundamental political structure, where BOTH parties are funded by the companies who they should be controlling.
The legal system also acts as if it is above the law, particularly in respect of law enforcement.

Sometimes it is easier for us to see the problems from across the pond here in the UK. The problem is, that we do not know the answers.

In January of 2024, after 3 years of a Democratic administration (including Kamala Harris as V.P., who Trump likes to ridicule as the "Immigration Czar"), there were 56,408; a decrease of 25%. Since February, Border Patrol encounters along the Southwest border have dropped by more than 50%.
It's total bullshit that the borders are "open" or that we're being "invaded" or "overrun" by migrants. Democrats are not importing bazillions of immigrants to secretly vote Democratic in November; because immigrants can't vote. There may not be a migrant crime wave but that doesn't mean there aren't any migrants coming across the border who aren't serious criminals.
