The sands of my hometown are now long gone,
There's no more warmth for me,
The arctic winds blow harsh and hard,
So much that I can't see.

Peices of gold is all we men seek,
Only armed with a seive and a gun,
The Klondike is such a precious sight,
In the land of the midnight sun.

    Land of the midnight sun,
    Don't try to run,
    Running away,
The sun will get you anyway

The snow of my heart is freezing,
    Freezing in my chest,
The land of the midnight sun,
Will lay my body to rest.

    Land of the midnight sun,
    Don't try to run,
    Running away,
The sun will get you anyway
