After France didn't want to take part in the Iraq war, conservatives (well, mainly conservatives) in the US "protested" France by changing all of the names that had "French" in them (French Fries, French Toast etc) and replacing it with "Freedom" (for Freedom Fries and Freedom Toast etc)...

This idea and practice was made fun of a few minutes ago
