mmm.... nope, I'm not a fucking stupid twat last time i checked, and I do use lady pretty often. Well, ladies more often, as in "you ladies have a great day" or "how are you ladies doing over here" or "can I help you ladies find anything" I don't much like the word twat though, especially when used in a negative fashion....
I'm a ladyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and fuck u im pround of it lol .where r u from in england - maybe there re no ladies there
Means nothing to me other than "female" but I know what your getting at. Some people have this stupid highly refined idea on what a "lady" is.
im sure it could be used so as to be mocking and patronising .....but its a term of deference n respect realy .
lady...you don't know what you're talking about... lol. sorry. had to do it. anyway, my grandma taught me that a lady is just someone who tries to make someone feel comfortable and respected.
ahhhh.. sorry about your grnadma.. shes not an idot.. just outdated..please forgive my offence to her..
Back in the '80's when I first moved to Boulder, the hippie type guys used to refer to their girlfriends, and even wives as their "ladies"...it was always said with a lot of love and respect for these women...it seemed to be a way of referring to a woman one was involved with in a very earthy, informal, loving way. I loved being someone's "lady"...it just meant that I was involved with someone that was part of the progressive, earthy "hippy" culture that was Boulder at that time (and maybe still is).
okay.. americannnnn..... im thinking it must be differnt in england. where it origonated! over here.. im telling you anyone who uses it is either an asshole, or very thick.
ya...... and ...... yuor point would be??? i hate the word twat............ does that make you an idiot??? maybe so
Yeah, in america, twat is far more offensive than lady could ever be. And I'd much rather some stranger address me with "hey lady" than "hey bitch"... Of course, a "hey twat" would probably get him injured. Oh, and by the way, That makes you sound like nothing more than a troll. Try to avoid being insulting to people who have responded. And, well, it might help if you had some reason other than "it's stupid"... Could you explain why you hate the word, without assuming we can read your mind?
we have no formalized classes here in the usa like y'all do in england. i can see how that would be onerous. but here it's just a measure of respect given to any female.
i never thought of that... 'hey lady' they say than in america don they?! so let me break it down, 'lady' in the british respect... oh forfucks sake.. it is just sooooo outdated and a useless, bullshit, subjucative word...

[i didnt even know i had one, i just HATE the fucking worrrrrrd]
i wouldn't consider that last one to be offensive, though. better than : twat, bitch, whore, slut, etc.
