Do you have problems with tearing (on the vaginal opening) when you're with a man with a thick penis? How long does it usually put you on the sidelines?

I'm usually fine with it, but once in a while I get a little tear :/. Frequency has nothing to do with tightness though. In fact, women who have sex frequently tend to be tighter, because squeezing with a penis in you creates resistance, which builds stronger/tighter kegal muscles.

 

My wife is going thru menopause & because she doesn't get anywhere near as wet as she use to during sex / foreplay, it can make getting my penis inside her harder unless we I use lube.

I'm a guy, but I know exactly what you are talking about. Most of the women I have dated have torn. Most of the time it has healed in a couple weeks or so. I've known some where it keeps tearing and is more significant, and in those cases a doc prescribed gel has helped heal things. Once a tear has occurred, that spot is likely to tear again. Mostly, healing time depends on the degree of the tear. It's not easy to wait, but giving things extra time to recover is better than reopening the tear and having to wait again.

I'm sure you know this, but use lube and go easy on entry no matter how wet you are. A tight opening will act like a squeegee and be dry before full penetration unless high quality lube is applied to the entire shaft.

I hate the feeling of lube. It's probably something I'll have to consider as I age, but right now I'm 27 and very good to go in that department. Rough entry was the culprit this time...I'm usually good to go after being worked with a couple fingers first, but I was being impatient. Whoops!

That is pretty disgusting, when you say it like that. Tears down there just take longer to heal in my experience, and like I said, I would rather wait till things were good to go instead of rushing it, tearing it, and having both of us be disappointed and frustrated. And to be clear, I'm talking about visible tears, not general soreness.

Sex isn't supposed to hurt. Well, let me rephrase that. It shouldn't hurt like something is tearing......
