Direct him to do exactly what you love or do you leave it all up to him? If the latter and if he sucks at it do you begin to redirect him in the right direction. How specific do you get if you do direct him?

 

I always ask if I'm licking the right spot or direction. Learned that from my mentor, a divorcee 8 years my senior when I was in my early twenties. It got so that my spouse would let me know if I was where I needed to be without asking. With a new partner I go ahead and ask every time. None of them has taken the initiative to instruct me without my asking . . . . . . yet.
