If it was real kush or some kind of kush, i'd say $20 for a gram of it would be an ok deal. Most dank and good hydro around here is $20 a gram $60 an 1/8. Make good friends with a grower tho... Then you can get good good prices ;)

Kush is really good weed. I am kind of surprised though that you normally buy in $5 bags. No offense, but that's kind of junior high-ish :) Next time you meet someone with some kush, by $100 worth and you'll be good for a while.

Actually if he buys in nickels he would probably be charged 100$ for a 1/4. I don't know about you guys, but I clean a 1/4 out by myself every weekend. If I'm with my friends that 1/4 might only last us one night. Also this is with smoking bowls, not blunts.

Knowing the grower I can get a gram of any type of dank he is growing for $5. Sometimes he just gives me some for free. He's starting to try out the hydroponics now though. i can't wait to see how that turns out :)

Damn, sucks to hear about those prices for some of you guys. Around here weed sells for the same price pretty much no matter what the quality, unless its unusually crappy or really, really good. If my dealer picked up a good batch, then I can get some REALLY bomb weed for $20 1/8 (although during dry times it can drop to as much as $20/2.5-3g, which I guess is still pretty good...), $50 1/4, or $85 1/2. On the flip side, there are the times when he happens to have kinda shitty weed...
But still, I definitely haven't been appreciating the deals around here nearly as much as I should.

EDIT: And whitish weed is usually really good, if the whitish colour is because of the crystals. But it will also REEK, so whitish weed that has no smell at all = very confusing, but I definately wouldn't touch it if it doesn't smell. Smell is usually one of the most telltale signs of some really bomb weed. And even then, even shit weed still has a smell to it.

There are a variety of different types of Kush that came from some experiments in cannabis genetics by a grower who goes by the name of Chemdog. Kush like any other strain can be grown properly, flushed properly, manicured properly and because of its genetics it has the potential to be some of the best herb in the world. But it can also be grown improperly and have seeds, taste chemmy, have no smell and even be moldy. Basically it comes down to whether or not the grower knows what he or she is doing.

It is impossible unless you got your seeds from a reputable seed bank or unless you got a clone from a mother that was grown from seeds from a reputable seed bank to be completely sure about what strain you are smoking. Any asshole on the street can call their buds-- purple urkle, grape ape, kush, sensi star, jack herer, sour diesel, etc. but that does not mean that the buds you are smoking actually have the same genetics as the real versions of those strains.

For the most part naming herb is a sales ploy. People want to buy herb that has a name and they have always wanted to buy herb that has a name because you can then identify that you are smoking the best shit and because of that dealers sell you buds that have the names of the best shit. It really comes down to how the buds smoke and whether or not you enjoy the high a specific type of herb produces.

The tell-tale identifier if you have good herb or not is the crystals. Smoke herb with crystals and call it whatever you want but smoke that has trichromes you can see will always be better than any name you give your herb. Whitish-color could be mold you need to look close and make sure that it is not fuzzy white stuff on the bud and that it is little crystals cause smoking mold is horrible for your lungs.

Price varies depending on where you are... $20 for a gram of Sensi (no seeds) is about average in most places in the U.S.-- but prices always vary depending on who you know, what you smoke, etc.

A 1/4 oz. (7 grams) of Kush in Washington would be no more than $80... right now.

If its covered in white stuff and doesn't smell, then ya, thats kinda sketchy. Actually, any weed that doesn't smell at all is still sketchy. I've never come across any sort of weed that doesn't have at least some smell to it.

Chemdog is a strain, not a grower. The Kush is the resualt of a cross of Chemdog and Mass. Skunk made in Western Mass. One pheno. is the Diesal and stayed on the East Coast and the other pheno. got taken out to Tahoe and named O.G. Kush.

to the OP.. if it didnt smell.. then it definitely was not Kush.. kush is pretty well known for its skunkiness.. nice bright green color.. tight buds.. yet easy to break apart.. caked in trichromes and has a flavor all its own
