Well I'm job searching right now so I have laid off the MJ for a while. I'm thinking of some herbs I can relax with at night and kratom has crossed my mind. I actually got some a few years ago off the internet (I can't even remember where I bought it from) and was thinking about getting some again. I bought the whole leaf and just made a tea out of it. I lightly boiled with water and strained the leaves. The effects were pleasant but relatively mild. Now I have heard some people having very very nice opiate-like effects from this stuff. What is the best way to consume it? whole leaf, powder, extract, etc.? And can anyone reccomend a good internet source to purchase it from? I know a lot of people don't think it's the best bang for the buck, but I think it has potential. Anyone who is a frequent kratom user in here?
Umm..I ate it. I ate the powder. It did NOT have opiate effects. Just made me sleepy so if youre looking for something to make you sleepy...you have found it. No opiate effects though, sorry.
I do get similar effects to opiates from kratom, so I think youre the exception. I usually get the 15x powder from Iamshaman, and I take two grams for good effects. Nothing can replace weed, but kratom is the nearest thing for my money. The ony problem is its a lot pricier and more addictive than weed.

I did some I got off ebay a while back, and it was great...until the aftershocks hit. I put some in hot water and drank it, powder and all, but only a little bit. It killed my severe pain better than hydrocodone and got me twice as high. I laid down and woke up shivering and feeling like I'd been hit by a truck. I couldn't eat and had a strong craving for opiates but had none. My heart jumped out of my chest at the slightest sound, and I was very paranoid at shadows and such. This went on for nearly a month. It was horrible, and what was worse was that I could find NOTHING remotely similar to these effects online anywhere. I imagined that was what severe opiate withdrawal would feel like, but I'd only done Kratom once, and less than a half a teaspoon! The only other med I was on was 5-HTP 50mg. I don't know what went wrong to this day, but it was bad. My source claimed to be "organic and all natural" with no pesticides, etc., so I'm at a loss. Exercise caution. I have heard great things, and the high was definitely real, so chances are you'll like it, but ya never know!
sweetie people like us who have tried strong opiates like heroin wont feel opiate effects from Kratom. OP Kratom is nice shit, its relaxing like MJ but theirs no psychedilic games. If you wanna get slightly sedated go for it. I think Spice Gold is one of those shitty legal MJ substitutes they sell on the internet, not sure though. Try a mixture of Kava n Kratom, that would be nice. BTW some people experience shitty sides from Kratom, so be careful, adjust the dosage that works best for u
I don't know dude. I've never tried it. I've heard Spice Gold feels almost exactly like smokin some good mids though, even to the point of getting the munchies. I've heard great reviews for Spice Gold from veteran potheads, whom I know to be very experienced with marijuana, and they say it's good shit. I've never had any reason to try it though, because I'm always gonna smoke weed and have no reason to smoke a legal substitute. Spice Gold is sold at pretty much the same prices as you would pay for some mids.
I've heard good things about kratom though, and I'm also interested in trying it, though not as a marijuana substitute. It supposedly has it's own unique effects, though similar to opiates, that are totally worth your time. It was even banned in Thailand, I think, because people were becoming addicted, which suggests that there are some effects that are worth exploring.
I've never heard of spice gold.. I'm not really looking for a mj substitute per se bc there is probably no such thing...just something to relax to and chill with at night I actually have a free sample of kava that I never tried. I've heard some good things about it. I might give it a try within the next couple of days..It's defintely more economical than kratom
Kava alone wont do shit, its just a good sleep aid, however mixed with Kratom thats sumthin else. In Thailand u get executed if ur caught with Kratom lol... If you want a perfect dream recipe try 5htp, melatonin and kava b4 u go to bed. if u want a pleasant relaxing sedative effect go for kraton and kava.
I've done Kratom a total of three times, each time by ordering ten greams of pre-crushed "Premium Commercial" variety leaves and boiling them into a tea. The process isn't too involved and only takes about twenty minutes if you really try to squeeze every last bit into the tea. What I would do is just take five grams of leaves and add them to about two cups of water and bring it to a boil slowly. I'd let it stay at a state of boiling for about a minute and then lower the heat down to a simmer. Then I'd eventually raise the heat to a boil once more and again bring the heat back down. Using a small sifter placed over the top of a coffee mug, I'd strain the mixture into a nice brown/green tea (the darker it is the more potent apparently). I'd then repeat the process all over again with the already used leaves and strain them into the same mug and mix it all together. Add a bit of sugar to take the edge off the very disgusting taste and you're good to go. My first experience with Kratom was by far the best. I got a very fast and very euphoric opiate-like rush that lasted for almost three hours. I had never tried Oxycontin at that point, but upon doing it later, the first hour of my Kratom high felt similar but not quite as intense. The next two hours were more of a glowing type of feeling that is also very enjoyable. I never got back to that point the next two times I tried the leaves, just got to that glowing state and not much more. I'd say you should definitely give it a try though. i tried kratom for the first time the other day and can honestly say its one of my favorite drugs...i found it NOTHING like pot and COMPLETLEY like an opiate which is why i loved it soo much. i got 4g's of 15x and put 1.8 into a cup of orange juice, swirled it around and chuged it, then put more juice in to make sure i got it all...20 minutes later i was confused cuz i felt like i was on 40mg of hydrocodone....it was that good in my eyes, then 3 hours later it started wearing off, so i dosed the other 2.2g's and got fucked up again. If i called a drug dealer and he said he had kratom and hydrocodone i would choose the kratom hands down. Problem is i can see this getting VERY ADDICTING, im gonna order an ounce of the extract and sell 3/4 of it so i get a quarter for free...I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHIT
I just ordered my first taste of Kratom frome-bay, got a pretty sick ass price compared to what I saw shoppping around vendors online, about $12 for 30 grams of red vained super kratom. I'm definently excited to try it out! Except i don't have a scale so it might be difficult to dose...I might have to borrow a scilo so I don't over-do it, or even worse, under-do it!!!
The laws have apparently changed. I have the lawbook right in front of me, and even though its banned here, the only people that chew on it are just the old people. In upcountries they sell it at the market. the death penalty for pot is 1000 kgs though. Kratom... well only if you are dealing it, and most people dont care about it as it even fuckin grows in my backyard, and ive never tried it nor ever thought of. id rather smoke opium.
I just ordered some premium grade powder..mixed about 10 grams in a few glasses a water. I got into a very nice/slightly intense meditative state. It was like a waking dream at times. It was sort of like taking an opiate, but not really. The downside was I felt very nauseous every time I stood up, so laying down was key...The next day I felt hungover though, like I had just drank 20 beers the night before. I wasn't a fan of that. Overall, I enjoyed it, but will probably not take quite as much next time..
go with the 15x from iamshaman...take around 2 grams and there is no way you can say it doesn't resemble an opiate, or that the high was not worth 7 dollars...
