Kobe Bryant dies in helicopter crash

Sad news for basketball fans everywhere. He rose to fame around the time when I was getting over my idolizing of pro athletes.

Story still developing.

Rumor has it that he changed his jersey number from 8 to 24. So he could be +1 ahead of Michael Jordan #23

That’s sad news. I always liked his personality.

 

He was a hero to so many. He will be missed and I'm saddened to learn of he and his daughter's death as well as the pilot and other occupants. RIP Kobe Bryant. 8/23/1978 - 1/26/2020

He was definitely a sports idol for many here. Takes me back to my youth playing basketball in the driveway or school grounds, kids would say "Kobe" as they released a shot they were confident they were going to make.

 

I remember back in my childhood playing on driveways doing that too. The players were different for me - Jordan, Magic - same thing though. Kobe for three!!! OHHH!! Yeah. He was totally that guy.

the helicopter was changing altitudes very much during flight. not to say that cant be done, its a helicopter and they do that. But normal flight to and fro .. pick an altitude, a heading and stay there. Its suggesting that there as some sight seeing going on the gps does not lie. the low points in the middle are some form of hovering, other data shows loops where the low points are.

MSNBC Reporter Says 'N*****' While Covering Death of Kobe Bryant

 

I have a friend who was born and raised in LA. Kobe Bryant was his idol. He's really shook. Were all the other victims children too? Or just his daughter?

 

If she was working for anyone else but NBC, she’d get fired so fast.

 

They were talking about fog on the television. It certainly was foggy in the morning, but that usually doesn't last here. It burns off.

 

It doesn't look good, huh. There's quite a bit of debris. No way to survive that...

It's a shame. A lot of people died. RIP.

 

What a freak tragedy. Reminds you that the universe is just chaos...
