Hi there. Just moved into a two storey house with two acres of land in Co, Leitrim , Ireland. The previous owners left us a new 'modern' kitchen. it's horrible. Anyones have any pictures of any nice 'handmade' kitchens. it would be great to get some ideas. Espically for 4 people sharing a house. thanks.
I was delighted to see this post. A certain stove I had always been drooling over is called the Waterford Stanley. It's ancient and it's FROM Ireland. Of course, I have neither the space for it nor the money to afford it. But it certainly is attractive ! http://www.lehmans.com/shopping/pro...ODUCT&iMainCat=671&iSubCat=809&iProductID=716
Sounds like a nice idea, willeh, but good luck getting the okay from your city to install a hand-made stove... deffinitely let us know how it goes, I'd like to see this work of art
I must say its a beautiful kitchen i think i know the people that built that kitchen and earth oven that produces such wonderful pizzas
we live with a baker, so it makes sense to have him heating the house and water while he makes us all bread. i found the above mentioned aga cookers. they cost 4888 euro here. Yikes! maybe a cob oven? The soil we have here is a lot like clay, so that might work out really cheap. Anyone any hints on Cob? Thanks.
