yep, and I knew it was only a matter of time after he had his stroke, and he was in critical condition as of today after his surgery
it would be nice if everyone lived forever, or would be if there didn't keep bein more of us. lots of people die (and are born) every day. so who was this kirby puckett? the name isn't ringing any bells in my dingy head. i know of a jim plunket or something like that, with the paw pets and megaplex. and there was an outfit back in the 60s called somebody something like that and the union gap, although i alwas figured that was just somebody's stage/performance name and nothing to do with their real one. i'm also guessing this guy had nothing to do with either of them, but that's only a guess. =^^= .../\...
He died young. We all die eventually. It's just shocking when someone so young goes- especially of natural causes- like when Reggie White died.
it seems like athletes and pro wrestlers do die very young. it could be the extreme stress on their bodies they go through, or the drug use........ probably a combination of both.
actually they were saying on the radio that the only Hall of Fame baseball player that died at a younger age than Kirby was Lou Gerig. Then again, Roberto Clemente died at 38 so I'm not sure what these sportscasters were talking about. Either way its sad. Its also sad that a lot of sportscasters have been mother fucking his personal life and how unhealthy was and this and that on the radio today. For christs sake, the man just died - show some respect
right, but he died before he was put into the hall of fame. they are probably saying the youngest player inducted into the hall of fame, who died after. I also think only roberto clemente didnt have to wait 5 years after he was out of the majors before he was inducted..... but it didnt matter to him, though, he was a corpse.
I'm from Minnesota, so Kirby Pucket is like a god here. The whole state is morning his death. He was originally from Chicago -- grew up in the projects, got out, made good, became a millionaire, and beloved to boot. His life was short, but amazing, although he had some tragedy in his last years. www.starcopywriter.com www.ironghost.wordpress.com
I need to run through my baseball card collection to see if I have any kirby puckett rookie cards.....
