Kinder- Und Hausmärchen(Children's And Household Tales) - Grimm's Fairy Tales

In 1884 Margaret Hunt's translation of Kinder- und Hausmärchen was published, based on the 1857 seventh edition of Grimm's Märchen. This is the version most Grimm books out there today are based on. However this seventh edition is a bowdlerized, politically correct, version of Märchen.

To my knowledge, the only English translation of the first edition is Jack Zipes version.


I am currently looking for a first edition of Märchen in German. Does anyone know where I can find a confirmed, unedited German copy?
