I just never understood that idea of joining the military. Who wants to be shot at, and kill people for a living? I mean, I guess its just my opinion, but....THATS FREAKY! I mean i dont think the pay is even that good that it would motivate people enough. Help me on this people.
The idea is defense of your country, patriotism, honor, tradition ect. I highly doubt anyone in there right mind joins and says cool I get to kill. I would say many years ago that was the case ie WW2 but that was likely due to the way it was treated, youth wanted to get even, it was prideful to want to go out and get them bad ppl and such. Killing for a living is more like a professional hit man. In the military there are alot of tasks others than killing, thats like being a police officer or a doctor even. There are days you have to make a call to allow another or assist another to die so that others may live or be safe.. Police kill everyday and have far less people shooting at them. Now a contract killer, they get paid very well if they are good (international scene). You would likely have to hold no value to human life, just a job ya know, dont know but that would be totally cold.
a lot of people join the military because it pays for their colleges to a certain extent i think. it also pays enough, so that some people want to join... theres also a lot of pressure to join in a lot of places... not only that they play adds on tv and there are pop ups on certain sights saying that the military is a great experience and that it lets you push yourself to your limits and be the best you can be and a bunch of other shit.... i agree with the killing for a living isnt a good thing at all... if i ever get drafted (if they still have that... im nto sure) im going to refuse to go... i dont think killing people is worth it. id rather do comunity service, or work for the red cross or something... id rather be in jail than in the military though.
Evryone get's this idea of , That these people deserve to die and they'll surly die an dkill for thier country. and it is creepy.
Yeah its a little farfetched when you think about it. Supposedly you go to hell for killing another man but if your in the military you kill hundreds yet your spared. I never did believe in that concept anyway.
if you kill somone in america, even in self defence, you can get thrown in jail for it. the moment you kill somone in war, its justified because the country says so... thats not right either.
