have comprised a theoretical recipe I have put together via various resources on the net. Could somebody tell me if this recipe would be feasible? It is as follows: Kief refers to the loose, dried resin glands (or trichomes) of cannabis which may accumulate on containers, in grinders, or be removed with a kiefing screen. Hash is a preparation of cannabis composed of the compressed trichomes collected from the cannabis plant. The resin reservoirs of the trichomes are separated from the plants. The resulting concentrate is formed into blocks of hashish. Alternatively, the powder consisting of uncompressed, dry trichomes is often referred to as kief instead of hashish. …therefore, hash is byproduct of kief. Be sure kief is completely dry before pressing it. Use grinder with kief catcher to harvest raw material (dry hash powder/kief). Then press with pollen press (both items may be found in head shops or on the internet for relatively cheap). Use eyedropper filled with high proof alcohol (Devil’s Springs Vodka preferably) and drop a few drops on kief if it wont stick together after pressing first time. Do you have to bake the chunk after you take it out of the press or is it fine straight out of the pollen press?
Hash is basically THC without the plant matter. Kief still has some plant matter in it. Correct me if I am wrong.
you shouldn't bake it. that could damage the THC in your product. Pressing should do the trick. And, Kief does not equal hashish. They are two different things.
Kief is the raw material used to make hash in other words. So in essence kief is hash because you are not changing the chemical composition of kief by pressing it into hash.
There are many different types of hash that go through different processes to be made. Some methods start with frozen dry trim, or bud, some methods start with keif, some methods use butane, some iso, some cold water. Many different ways. Processed keif=hash
no way you can burn it if temp is too high. easiest way to press is to get it hot to the point of being gooey. with large amounts use a stove set at 200 degrees put yer dry bubble or keif in a turkey bag(food grade cellphane) on a ceramic plate and cook it for bout 5-7 mins or till pretty soft.take the cellphane and step on the hash with yer heel. start in the middle of the hash and work it to the outside edges makin it as thin as possible.dont worry eventhe stickiest hash wont stick to the cellophane. ya may need to get it warm a few more times throughout this process.whenits asthin as ya can get it throw it in the feezer for a few mins. then yer done smoke it. its real important to make sure yer product is completely dry before ya press it.mold can happen quick.
nah brah, food grade cellphance dont melt brah.i know what im talkin about brah. take some advice. im a medical marijuana patient here in california. i make my own.l know my hash. we can get into a technical disscusssion but you'll come out lookin like ya never even seen the shit. cool yer jets youngster
if your kief doesn't stay together when you press it it aint worth pressing. if your kief has plant material you are seiving too hard or you need a finer screen. hashish is kief smashed into a blob. kief is hash in my opinion, kinda think it's better.
