    Okay.

I have protested this a lot at school.

KFC are literally mass murderers. They get their chickens from farms who:

    1. Cut off the beaks, tounges and half of the chicken's faces.
(This is so the chickens won't fight.)
    2. Stick the chickens in boiling water to remove their feathers (Oh...and they're still alive)
    3. Slit their throats (yes...they're still conscious)

mkay. all this is done without painkillers. can't KFC give it a rest? A whole bunch of friends and I have already stopped eating there and protested a few times over there, and they still don't get the message.

My parents don't even support my vegetarianism, and they won't even eat there because of these reasons!!!

Okay, everybody who meets me gets a long lecture on this subject eventually.

www.themeatrix.com is a good website about the warehouse-like storage and mistreatment of live animals.

Don't forget the antibiotics they use to keep the animals alive...without serious doses of antibiotics the animals would get sick and die....because of being in their own excrement, because they can't move, because of poor food quality..ect.

please, what they do is heinous enough without hyperbole like "half their faces." yes, hens get debreaked and that alone is enough.
to continue to "fluff" the horror actually leads to people not believing, and when they do check it out, they discover that your statements are inflated, and that lowers your credibility.
Stick with the facts. they are bad enough.
Remember also that the campaign against KFC is simply because they are the largest purchaser of dead chickens in the world.
almost all chicken is raised in this manner, and the farmers make blessed little per delivered bird.
poultry farming harms land, farmer and consumer as well as the animals themselves.

yes kfc sucks, but there no worse then peta who spent thousands on a walk in freezer the kind used only for dead bodys and dead animals, who refused to help a farm when all the cows were starving to death, and heres my fav in there vermont head quaters they for 5 years put (at least) 5 animals down a day, when it would have cost less to keep them alive.
and no matter how much of a vegetarian or vegan you are, you are still killing animals.
when farmers harvest corn, wheat, soy beans, and well just about everything, there doing it with machines that cut down the corn wheat soy etc. and also kills the animals that live in the feilds, bunnys baby dear, mice and what have you.
i use to be a vegetarian myself but it became too hard on my family having to buy diffrent food for me and same old food for them. so i had to quit.

I personally loathe PETA, but this is a lousy comparison:
one farm not helped (and why, pray tell? or is this urban legend?)
How does that stack up against even ONE poultry shed?
Quite frankly, your post is a raging stereotpye:
    * the disinformation the Center for Consumer Freedom put out as peta kills animals dot com
    * the combine killers (a typical response from those who pretend to know about farming: small rodents and small birds do get caught, but they get caught for crops no matter if they are going to be farm animal feed to Wonder Bread.)
    * I was a veg but it was too hard.
Spare me. I put my family through it at 13 and I'm still veg. MY son is 15 now. It can be done, for life.

Tyson is one source of the chickens, I believe.
THe point is to put consumer pressure (us) on a different level consumer to the farms (KFC).
Yes, McD is as bad. And pressure should be on them to implement a welfare monitoring program.

yeah, Kfc are a bunch of assholes about it. taco bell gets its tomatos from mexican work camps in florida. mexicans get offered a way to america and a job, but get charged for taking them there, and their forced to work off their debt in squallid conditions for years at a time. slavery. and they cant snitch themselves out for fear of the law. read 'reefer madness' by eric schlosser. i prolly misspelled his name...

anyway, tacobell and kfc are both owned by the yum corp. along with pizza hut.
i havent eaten at either of those places in years.

meat.org is annother good movie about this stuff

i dont dig peta though, once i was coming up on acid and someone turned on a peta video and i was buggin out, waay uncool, man.

anyone know about the ALF?? there good peoplees

I fully agree with you about if you take strong charge againat one side of the animal abuse spectrum, you need to recognize the opposite offenders, but seriously, no matter how much you care about anything, every one of our actions cause a ripple effect of reactions, and of course farmers in the field will accidentally run over wild animals or youll step on a bug accidentally from time to time. That is unavoidable and completely a different sort of example from raising animals to be slaughtered the way we do in such a mass fashion now. I guess what I really wanted to say is, if you were truly dedicated to veganism or vegetarianism you wouldnt let the fact that your parents found it too difficult to buy you different foods. It isnt difficult. You are 16? Do you have a job yet? Buy your own food. OR invest in a personal cookbook and get ideas on simple, easy meals. You have so many means to continue a veggie lifstyle if you wanted to.
