This for anyone reading that has severe or treatment resistant depression. You should really give ketamine a try. It has literally saved and changed my life. I was on the edge of suicide, full plan, ready to go. I gave up on living. Ketamine is an instant, fast acting anti-depressant. And with some psychedelic side effects which I enjoy because I find them deeply profound and spiritual. This is the best drug I have EVER done in my life and I've done just about everything. This drug lights up and awakens your brain and consciousness, plugs in parts of your brain that went dormant because of the depression. YOU CAN HAVE your life back. It gives you new perspective on your life and hope.
LSD accomplished "forcing " me to examine certain aspects of my life that needed some severe self reflection. That was years ago--I have not tried ketamine--those days are long gone for me.
Yah I'd take all the ketamine I could get, lol. No but seriously that would be cool if it was a normally prescribed treatment where I live. I don't even think it's approved for that purpose here, though I might be wrong.
You are never too old to change and awaken your consciousness. I'm in my 50's. And yes, drugs are not the way to go. I've had TRD (Treatment Resistant Depression) for 35 years and been on ALL sorts of pharmaceuticals with a WHOLE rap sheet of side effects. You take one drug for thing, depression or anxiety, next thing you know you are taking 3-5 more to combat the side effects of the first 2 you took. And with depression, it's never really one drug they have you on if you have serious depression. You're more like me been on a cocktail of harmful medications that actually mimic and create the conditions they are trying to treat. I'm not lying about this. Many antidepressants have been known to increase agitation, hostility, aggression, suicidality, risks of seizures and fatal heart conditions. So you're right. Do I want to be on these drugs? Nope. I've been getting off the Benzodiazapenes and other drugs. Once you become more mindful of what you are putting in your body, you really become acutely aware of what your are taking for medications and their risks. And you ask yourself is it really worth it when a drug like Ketamine for example, targets so many receptors in the brain, dozens! Rather than just dopamine and seratonin. The incredible effect that Ketamine has is that it has the ability to let you disassociate from your physical being, essentially you have an OBE an out of body experience and view not only yourself in a new way, but your whole world. It's a deeply profound and spiritual experience. I guess it's what's commonly termed as the K-hole experience. Heard about it when I used to go to raves. I gave up counting all the benefits Ketamine therapy has had on my life. I used to be a hardcore alcoholic, now clean and sober. Used to be a smoker, no longer smoke. Used to be prescribed enough benzos to knock out a horse. I'm off the benzos all together. Let's see, used to take anxiety meds, gave those up. Didn't need them anymore and they cause dimentia. Ketamine may not be the magic cure, you are! Ketamine is the catalyst to awaken a dormant mind, you heal yourself. Much like Shamen entering altered states of consciousness to receive healing knowledge, commune with spirits and ancestors and multi dimensional beings. Much like Shamen of old, Ketamine is the catalyst by which we learn to heal ourselves.
