Good ole boys and sushine children let me hear it for Kentucky! Kentucky is a beautiful state where many are still very much in tune with nature. Many tall hills, beautiful rivers, and scenic drives. Elizabethtown and Bardstown Road are two of the most wonderful places to get away and delve into the culture that we all share. Besides, everyone gets lucky in Kentucky! ;P
And for all the reasons you already mentioned, if you have the pleasure of living in Kentucky, you're lucky!
How far away from L'ville? Seeing how you like to go to E'town and Bardstown Rd, I'd guess Shepardsville?
Nope, bout 20 miles outside of L'ville, on the east side of L'ville. Never been to Shepardsville actually.
The Louisville area is pretty cool, I can't say much for the eastern part of the state where I am though. It would be a good place to live if it wasn't for the local governments shaking down poor people and greedy land developers trying to bulldoze the mountains all the time. I hate to put in a downer like that but I needed to get it off my chest. Anyway, Elizibethtown and Bardstown are cool too. And they make really good bourbon in that part of the state.
If you have lived in KY for any length of time, I'm sure you're aware that free speech is not considered a virtue in many of the Commonwealth's social circles. I would like to inform everyone here in our fair state that a new web site has been launched to serve as a political resource for the concerned citizens of Eastern Kentucky. This site fills a signifigant gap in the KY free speech movement, and now east Kentuckians have a political gathering place where they can speak their minds: http://www.eastkypolitics.com They also have a forum: http://www.eastkypolitics.com/forum/ I hope you all enjoy this new site, and please, spread the word where you can. I'm sure the site administrators would appreciate it. So with this and a few other resources that are in the works, let's all do our part to change KY for the better. Thanks.
<--Paducah, western KY about 5-10 miles from metropolis Illinois. And yes, for those of us open-minded people, KY is a beautiful state with very few of us. If anyone wants to talk, feel free to IM me on MSN. (or PM here)
I know exactly what you're saying! I get tierd around here sometimes... not enough to do except get drunk. LOL. Yeah, do you all get wonderlust alot? Im wondering if its a KY thing or if its just me. Right On Lexington! Great town! Never been to Maysville. Little town?
I moved here from Colorado, and I miss the winter. Here its more of just a "Cold Period" Half an inch of snow stays on the ground all damn winter
yeah. kentucky is so beautiful in 3 outta the 4 seasons but it dies competely in the winter. everyonce in a while theres a hugh snow storm and its like fluffy joy! LOL. Yeah, is it weird that I've heard of Ripley but not of maysville? im from taylorsville, no ones ever heard of taylorsville either. Louisville metro should just come and claim Tville as its own. the imperialist Louisville. makes sense.
