kellogs can do whatever the fuck they want..i could care less..your boycotting them cause some dickhead millionaire got fired for weed use..there are a lot worse [or better]corporations you could boycott..do you know how much food kellogs gives away to the needy and underprivilaged ..not to mention the money they pump into amateur sports

Wow man. A lot of people fucking care about this. It's a big deal because they're dropping someone for smoking fricken pot! That's why people (me included) are willing to boycott them. Also, getting some dickhead millionaire fired would be fantastic, but I doubt the end result could ever be that satisfying. And you say Kellogs gives food to the needy and underprivileged? Give me a break man, seriously. I few charity walks here and there is hardly feeding the homeless. Making up information on the spot and passing it off as fact can be great fun, but it's a bad habit to develop. People just like you are the reason our government is aloud to do whatever the fuck they please. The "I don't give a fuck" attitude has to go.

Kelloggs can do whatever they want. They are not a BAD corporation-there are a lot worse. But once they understand that there is a business cost (profits) to their actions the next time this happens maybe business will be more understanding of pot use.

And once business accepts pot use society and government will not be far behind.

And yes you can just sit back and do nothing-or you can spend 2 minutes and do something and maybe you won't get arrested or fined for pot use in the future. And maybe you won't be stuck working for a business that drug tests.

He made an unprofessional choice-he smoked pot-is that an unprofessional choice for you?

We are arguing that smoking pot should not be an unprofessional choice. Once it is no longer an unprofessional choice then it will no longer be negative in societies eyes which will hopefully lead to it no longer being unlawful.

That's a much better argument. I agree with you. And I could really care less about Phelps.

But I'd like to reach a point where companies, the media, society, and the police do not get excited about people smoking pot. I figure this is one way to reach that point.

I eat very healthy food-I doubt I really eat anything from Kelloggs.

 

yea.. i never eat much kelloggs food.. for one.. i don't have the money to splurge on namebrands.. for 2.. i prefer to not buy namebrands when you can get the exact same thing at half the price with a knockoff brand... only thing i ever bought that was kelloggs was Special K Red Berries.. shit is soooooooo good

 

We all know that it's basically harmless and all that shit but at the end of the day it's still illegal. A lot of people still believe that pot is a harmful drug and that is why Kellogs dropped him, they didnt want to possibly lose money because some pothead swimmer got caught with a bong in his face.

gotta admit it, when i first heard about this i had the idea of boycotting it as well. perhaps then more people would see that pot isnt sucha big deal for people to get fired over. but i totally see ur point and i agree with you.
