If anyone would like to read a very intersting, well researched book of one of rock's most innovative, controversial, brilliant performers then i recommend "Dear Boy : The Life of Keith Moon".I am a massive Who fan but for anyone interseted in this subject take a look. Its great.
i'll second that, it's a shame the author didn't get any direct input from the rest of the band...... but still, a well researched and adequetly written biography of one of rock's true characters :sunny:
There is so much material out there regarding Moon as regards the other band members already, but i take the point.I think the idea of the book was to focus on his family, friends, upbringing and of course his eacapades rather than just his life with the band.Been done by so many others . Anyway bollocks to those "WHO" dont get it !!!
there's a good book by his "minder" if i recall, published in the 80s? can't remember the name or author but he knew moon well [must google] edit: dougal butler full moon: the amazing rock and roll life of the late keith moon morrow quill, 1981 isbn: 0688007570 expect to pay $15+ for a used copy, pretty sure it's long out of print and not too common
