Hi everyone My name is Noël and im 20 years old. I live with my partner of 4 years in a flat that i have rented for about 14 months. The most important thing in life to me is happiness and i spend most of my time attempting to make those around me happy. I seem quiet/shy to those who dont know me well, but i tend to think things over a lot before i say them out loud (unless ive drunk a red bull!) Usually i stick to life, caffine and chocolate to give me my highs. I rarely drink, gave up smoking and dont get on with weed. Currently im employed as an apprentice mechanical engineer by a company called spirax sarco and have just finnished my HNC in the same subject. My passions in life include: walking in the beautiful countryside, meeting wonderful people, playing my mandola, drawing/sketching. Well ive definatly gone on for long enough. Feel free to ask me anything I look forward to getting to know you guys also. love to you all x x x
Hello Moob Beam =) Thanks for the greeting. Dreams and aspirations include looking after those around me and making them happy, which in turn means i must suceed in my career. A materialistic dream is to own my own home in the countryside (not have a mortage for the rest of my life) and live in it with Phil and our pet cat. It will have a cozy garden which i shall grow herbs and veg in. It will also be close to the coast so that i can walk along beaches in my spare time! I also dream to be more confident as a person, and not worry so much about what others think of me.
Thinking about it, i have never come across a friendlier bunch of people than you guys. Recently i have been let down by a lot of people who i thought i could count as friends, so i supose in some way im searching for friendship to help build me back up! During the years i have been away, i have always re-visited to read what everyone has been up to. It would be lovely to get to know you all again
Some people have come and gone over the years, but we're still a friendly bunch and I'm sure you'll fit right back in again.
My favourite part must be mid wales. The year i was born, my parents bought a small cottage and 30 acres of land there. Every other weekend for the first 17 years of my life i have spent it there getting hands on at the local farms. I feel so lucky as i love animals, and have had such amazing chances to work with them. Here is the house! The section on the far right is the origonal cottage that had no heating or plumbing etc. The mid tower and left hand sections are all additions. Unfortunatly it cost way too much to complete it all in welsh stone, so brick had to be used. Havnt got any photos of the land on me, but believe me its very beautiful!
I really hope so! Am usually too tired to get on here much during the week, but will try to keep up with it all Would be honoured if i would be able to call people on here friends as you all seem so lovely! Just hope im lovely enough too.
If you were trapped in a burning building with your namesake Noel Edmonds and he started yelling at the top of his voice about cosmic justice and trying to pull you with him into the roaring flames, what would you do?
To be honest im a bit bad at thinking under stressful situations! My natural instincts would kick in... however in this interesting senario, i think i would try and stop him from diving into the flames himself. Due to my lack of stature and weight i would fail and probly get pulled in too! I wonder what Noel Edmunds knows about cosmic justice hehe. My understanding of it is pretty much from a buddhist perspective. Does him using cosmic justice as a reason for my being pulled into the flames mean that he knows of all the wrongdoings i have done in my life? Even if this is so, i dont feel he has the right to judge my wrongdoings and apply the resultant actions. If there was time in the burning building, i woud have a lengthy discussion on this with him "As sweet as honey is an evil deed, so thinks the fool so long as it ripens not; but when it ripens, then he comes to grief. Verily, an evil deed committed does not immediately bear fruit, just as milk does not curdle at once; but like a smoldering fire covered with ashes, it remains with the fool until the moment it ignites and burns him." Buddhism. Dhammapada 69, 71 Found a great website with examples from many religions with quotes like the above on their perspective on cosmic justice. Here is one taken from a traditional african religion. The emphasis on horns made me laugh! : "God is not hornless; He is horned: He exacts punishment for every deed." I could go on forever on this subject as i find it fascinating, but its too early in the morning to get so philosophical have a good day everyone peace x x
From reading this thread again you might get the impression I have something of an obsession with Noel Edmonds :leaving:
