My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Anyone heard it/what do you think? My review takes only 2 words... He's back.
Can't say I haven't gone utterly slack-jawed due to some of the hot lesbian scenes she did with Sharon Stone :drool5:
Kanye is shit. Fuckin' bitch boy that whines when people don't like the shit he spits, whines when he doesn't win awards, whines when people are downloading instead of buying his music...whines about everything. I've tried to listen to his music but it's the same trash every other mainstream "artist" is peddling with no lyrical depth and more auto tune. My review is that Kanye isn't back because he was never here and to those that think he is talented at what he does, don't know real hiphop.
If this thread was about his last album, I would throw some rep your way however, you coming in and saying this is pretty bullshit. Define "real hip hop" whatever way you want bro, i just listen to music that I like and I happen to like it when rappers are passionate about what they're talking about. There is auto-tune (they can never seem to completely get rid of it) but this is no 808's and Heartbreak. No depth is a bullshit one because you've clearly never heard the album, he talks about shit that's real personal and you can sense the passion behind his words, you gotta give him props at least he speaks from the soul. Your probably one of those people who lists off a long name of rappers no one's ever heard of and feels superior because you think that means you have good taste in rap. It doesn't. Just because a lot of people like something doesn't mean its bad. Besides how many other rappers can you say that actually live the lifestyle/stereotype ALL the time, he's loud, rude, speaks his mind, complains about little shit but god damn don't you just love it when someone is 100% real. I can sense that in his music and that's why I like it. Now leave this thread and go listen to your "underground" shit let those who listened to the album discuss it.
Hahaha not that, he did throw this on there though "choke a South Park writer with a fishstick". First time I heard that I almost died laughing.
Simultaneously best score since 2002, and worst actual review ever. Not impressed with their rap reviews, they gave 808's and Heartbreak a 7.6 i believe and only gave Cudi's new one a 6.7. Like fuck. Stick with the indie rock pitchfork.
I think this album may seem a bit better than it is because 808's was so AWFUL. I am not saying the new one isn't good
i watched the 35 minute music video and was blown away. this sounds much more mature and complex than his last albums. i didn't even worry about 808 because of all the autotune shit but this one seems really good
RAP=Rhythm and Poetry. When your rapping to make money the music loses artistic integrity and generally becomes shit. Even though all artists are out to make a buck in the end, most real emcees don't give a fuck if you download their album, as long as you bump that shit and spread their message and maybe buy some merch at a show. Atmosphere (slug/ant) release free EP's fairly often and blatantly say they don't care if people download their albums. huh? but none of the music I listen to has autotune....turn it off while in the recording studio=auto tune gotten rid of. I know I have a good taste in rap, and I could list off a bunch of emcees to check out but I know you won't so I'll save my time. I'll keep the sheer dopeness of all this good hiphop to myself..go ahead and buy into what the media tells you rap is. What makes him %100 real? And living the stereotype lol...like I said..taht's not what rap is about. It's not an image thing, it's not a fucking popularity contest. You either have mic skills or you don't, and I like I said I could post a list of emcees that would destroy kanye with freestyles or writtens. edit.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3pxaTtFvqM"]YouTube - Amazing Eyedea Freestyle In-Store w/ Slug - Seattle, WA. 2002
