I wasn't sure where I should post this. I suppose it's news, maybe a reflection on society (gone horribly wrong). I just read that someone was plotting to kill Justin Bieber. Now some people might not think this is a big deal because maybe they're not a fan. Maybe they see him as a comodity and don't give a crap about him. He's a person though..and I think what was plotted to do to him is disgusting. A man that is currently in prison sent some goons to do the job for him. They were planning on castrating and murdering him. This is a kid. He's not doing any harm to anyone. Thank 'god' that these men were caught. I feel bad and scared for Bieber. I know the world can be a good place, but I just feel so disgusted by this...Disgusted that another being can insist harm be done to someone else.

    too soon...

Actually, the man who plotted the murder had a bieber tattoo on his leg, yeah....
I don't really wanna compare the two celebrities (for fear of offending some people), but this makes me think of john lennon's murderer

did you even read my article?
I fear that if the murder would have actually happened and I reported about the murder and how disgusting and sad it was then you would still had posted your same comment, just in the past tense.

I think however high or low up the celebrity tree they are, however popular or unpopular the celebrity is - somebody somewhere will want to kill them/harm them. John Lennon is not a superior human being above Justin Beiber in significance. They both had/have families and people that care for them - they are the same.

I agree..I wouldn't call myself a bieber fan, but I also don't hate the kid, I don't want anything bad to happen to him. Just like I don't want anything bad to happen to any person. I guess might offend people is that lennon's lyrics can't really be compared to bieber's...but that's a music issue. I adore lennon's lyrics and appreciate them very much, but I can also see how people can enjoy bieber music just for fun...because sometimes things just have to be fun for the sake of being fun. Man, I am tired of typing Bieber lol.

I guess my intentions of my OP was just to express my disgust that a human being would want to harm another human being intentionally, especially without even knowing them.

*-Not to sure about him, but many celebrity kids like him donate to charities and things like that so he probably does...and from random interviews and stuff I've seen, he seems alright and pretty down to earth. It's not too cool for people to hate him just cuz he seems better off then some. Who knows, his life could be horrible, but he just puts on a happy face. He's a performer. And I wonder how this is effecting him now...someone wanted to take his life. I would be incredibly scared. It's not easy to be poor and It's not easy being a celebrity either..

yeah, just googled that and he has done some charity donations...I guess he was donating some of his proceeds of ticket sales actually to 'people in need.' He's helping poor people, so why would poor people hate him?

    I think jealousy breeds hate.

I've never understood how one person is more important than another - because they happen to be able to write a better 3 minute pop tune.
I'm sure Beibers music will mature and improve - not that it matters.

I'm not really a fan of either of them. John has some good tunes, for sure.
I think I tapped my toe when listening to:

    What! :D

I think a lot of kids and parents like Beiber because he is a Christian, and espouses Christian values, and also does lots of charity work - not just because of his music.
I have a feeling Beibers influence grates on some people because they don't think he is worthy.
They would rather over idolise somebody like John, and transfer a somewhat God like status on them, and imagine with out them the world would be different.

I know where you are coming from :) - I agree with you.

Maybe it's my motherly side (I'm only 27 btw), well I know he's younger than me and I still see him as a kid. Some of my elders probably even still see me as a kid. Yeah, just looked it up. He's 18...an adult technically in the eyes of the law but I still view him as 'a kid.'

I've been told I look like a squirrel. Bieber isn't my type though. That girl could probably pass as my little sister.
