just been prescribed sertraline to help me cope with my anxiety and depression. I suffer from paranoia mainly but the doctor doesnt seem to have given me anything for that, but this could work hopefully! Thing is though I am paranoid that I have been given a placebo! I have only been given a two week suppply then have to see her again, I hope I notice some changes. Has anyone else been treated with the same drug before? why were u prescribed it & when did u start noticing any changes??
sertaline is an anti-depresion and not a placebo, most anti-depressions dont normally work in as quick as two weeks, your doctor probably wants to see you in two weeks to see if you have any side effects from taking it.
The times I had to take anti-depressants it took a couple of months before they worked but they really worked once they kicked in. Give it time and good luck. I hope you feel better *hugs*
