Why do people start growing with little pots instead of big pots? It would save the hassle of transplanting, and you'd need less water. I know there has to be a purpose for it, but what is it?
Some of them will be males- a waste of space. Some will not be healthy- a waste of space. Small pots allows for more plants in the same space enabling the grower to practice selection. It also allows the avalible light to be maximized, or for use of less light in the early stages.
