Hey, i think this says alot. So the devil and his friend were eating lunch at a restraunt one day, outside of course, and watching the busy people walk by. The friend noticed a rather odd looking man walking down the street bend over and pick something up, then hurry away. After awhile the thought of this man kept poppin up in the friends mind, so he asks the devil what it was that man picked up. The devil says nonchalantly "Absolute Truth." The friend became terrified and lept up saying, "are you mad...this is the end of us!!!" The devil says in a calm voice "Now calm down, its ok. I'm arranging for him to organize it!"
wierdness. As not even 'god' can know everything. Then there is no absolute truth that can be understood by a mind.. Absolute truth is but the name of reality. None can KNOW reality.. God, and it;s fictional construct...the devil. May be just what they are because they know 'some' of the TRUTH of reality. While WE. Know very little.. Knowledge is power. That is the difference betwen man and a 'god' Occam
Ahh, you forget Occam, that because of the thirst for knowledge, humans were cast out of eternal paradise. Therefor, all knowledge is inherintly evil and of the devil. And because of this, all humans should do their best not to learn anything in the entire span of their lives.
Freaky Occam keeps forgetting about the apple. How strange a fruit. In the eating. it allows understanding. And human evil. It is reason.. Occam
Is it reason or is it judgement? Wasn't it the 'tree of the knowledge of good and evil'? A parable I know, but we left the garden when we began thinking we knew right from wrong, when we began judging each other. We can enter the garden again, when we forget what we have been taught of good and evil.
Pop 3 13 And how did we begin thinking we knew right from wrong? What allows us to do this.. What allows morality? Reason We were 'taught' nothing of good and evil... We MAKE human good and evil. it is our load to carry. Judgement is a thing we do when we have reason. There is no judgement of morality Of good and evil. Without rational process. Do sheep, or lions 'judge' by a conceptual code such as morality [good and evil] ??? No,, they just DO, by a code of genetic system and accreated experience. [pavlovian] Reason allows concepts. Morality ..good and bad.. are concepts. thus good and bad cannot exist without reason Occam
