joint rolling tips etc

i can roll fairly well (its smokable) but dont practise regulary.

the bit i find hardest is after the mix has firmed in the paper, tucking the paper in and rolling it so its tight, any tips?

i heard long thumb nails help

I bought a roller. Whenever I did it by hand I'd have to use 2 or 3 papers.

 

i use to have a roller but it was shit. my friend has a pretty good one he uses a lot

 

The paper doesn't have to get tucked all the way behind the weed...it's okay if it folds / overlaps a little bit, as long as once you get past the first rotation nothing is sticking out. Do you roll cones?

 

use bigger size papers.
i found that rolling with inch and a half papers makes it so much more easy to roll with.

 

practice on your weed bag. roll it up like a joint so there is no air in the bag

 

start in the middle and work your way outward...a little weed will fall out but this is normal just throw it in a bowl or save it

 

hmm.. i think that has to definitely be personal preference.. i started rolling way better joints once i started using 1" papers.. less paper to fuck with... cut corners are always good too..

also.. make sure your weed is broken up really well.. preferably with a grinder.. and any stems are taken out.. even tiny bits.. because they can poke holes in the paper..

always start rolling from the center.. if you start from the ends.. you will end up with a lump in the middle of your joint...

 

I usually pack it into the end of the joint that I will be smoking since I usually dont have anything to throw my shit in.

i just always found it easier for me to roll with bigger papers,
it give me more paper to make it tighter, and fix errors i guess

 

me too! i roll way better blunts than i do joints...my joints usually suck kinda bad heh

 

I find that easier too, the only downfall is the more noticeable paper taste in the joint.

I find making your fingers a little bit damp helps too if you have dry skin. I don't know if you do or not but I do, and a huge issue was not having a solid enough grip on the paper to get a good tight roll.

i fuckin hear ya there.. winter sucks.. rolling cigs.. its frustrating.. so i just breathe heavy on my finger tips and presto chango.. sticky fingers

 

I don't know about that, I have sweaty palms and it makes it hard as hell to roll joints. The paper sticks to my fingers and the momentum when I unstick it makes weed go all over the place.

 

well.. how about moist.. not soaking wet because you have glandular issues..

 

Yeah and I'm talking just the finger tips not running your hands under the faucet. Usually a little tongue juice on the tips is good enough.
