Job Interview

I got a job interview at the town library tomorrow.

I'm so excited.

It's for a Page position, which entails reading and organizing shelves and putting books away.

I'm really interested in the position, and have a nice outfit put together for tomorrow and plan on bringing my GED since the interviewer made mention of it during our phone conversation.

Any other tips or tricks you guys have for a good interview?

 

The usual. Be on time, look presentable, don't interrupt the interviewer, be polite and enthusiastic, try to avoid worn out phrases (the interviewer has heard them a thousand times).

Send them a thank you card after the interview. It shows you appreciated the interview and will help set you apart from the crowd.

Mention what you want to do with your life and associating it with the library.

"I want to be an ______ and obviously education is a vital part of that."

I Feel that getting this job will help me pursuing _______."

make sure you smile a lot, make eye contact, seem interested when they are talking, talk as if you want to work at the library forever and never take holidays.

also don't fiddle or twitch or give off any sign that you are nervous. they feed on your fear.

 

Just sound and look and behave confidently.
