Oh my god! I'm sooo happy!!! My brother gave me this book as a present: JIM MOORISON - life, death legend, by Stephen Davis. It's sooooo beautiful, there are lots of pictures and it's really big! I love it!!! I can't stop reading it... Jim was really the greatest...

 

Jim was not the greatest.... there are much better vocalists, and he was racist.

He did have some cool fucking hair, tho. :H

I don't know... I think his poetry is something really special and beautiful... And his hair... i think he looked better with a little shorter hair, like in 1967. His hair lookes strange in 1971...

I've got two old tapes of him, one's an interview, the other is a bootleg from some party, I found them on ebay... at the party, it's very obvious that he was one of those mean drunks, and he went on for over 3 minutes about "them damn porchmonkeys"... it's one reason why I am no longer in love with Jim or The Doors anymore

And I wasn't talking about his poetry, I meant his vocals... he's got one sexy voice, but many times, he was too drunk to even speak correctly, let alone sing..

 

I like "porchmonkeys"... those are the kinds of people who created the blues.

Jim Morrison? yeah, I know him. We got drunk together in Paris, he was a great guy. We played together in a band called "Jomo and the Smoothies", he said that he had sung in a bigger, more successful band called "The Gates" or something like that... I was too drunk, so I don't remember much. I wonder what happened of him.... ??
