Jerry's "Brokedown Palace" on Joan Osborne's new CD

I just heard the new Joan Osborne album, “Pretty Little Stranger” today. Man, I forgot how much I love her work. I have her Relish album. Remember, “what if God was one of us. Just a slob like one of us?” Gosh I dig that song.


This is a very soothing, easy listening kind of album. There are many cool things going on with it, lots of cool special guests.

Now nobody can write a song like Jerry Garcia, and NOBODY can do “Brokedown Palace” justice like the Grateful Dead, but man Joan nails it on this album!

they play that on the radio about everyday here....i didnt dig it at first, but its starting to grow on me. i thought joan sounded excellent with phil this summer
