Jellyfish in particular range from tiny little polyps to sometimes massive organisms.

This is one massive jellyfish. It is over a metre in diameter! With stinging tentacles with a most painful sting, one must be very careful indeed as it can be fatal for some or they can go into shock.

Anyone with images of jellyfish and/or other sea creatures please post them here. Thanks:)

Have you ever read Michael Crighton's 'The Sphere'? It's also a film, but not a very good adaptation. That would have you frightened of squids! No wonder cephalopds upset Lithium so much....

I have seen the film Sphere and those giant jellyfish looked creepy. Specially being under the ocean. The squids didn't scare me though. I love calamari:)

Heh heh! I think that's exactly why i love it so, it's stupid, but i once sent in a very similar picture i had made as a child to Tony Hart's The Gallery. Not that he ever showed it..! That man always lacked taste as far as i'm concerned.

I'm sure he has it framed in his basment. "Tony Hart's Basement of Love"

It's probably his favourite and he didn't want to show it on TV in case anyone else stole it.

    Congratulations!

If anyone ever saw Blue Planet then you would have seen this weird creature that was crystal clear but had a mouth thing. more like a worm puppet.

Giant Jellyfish have no brain, no heart and simply propell themselves through the water. In some countries they eat jellyfish.

Blue Planet is amazing... great entertainment, particularly when stoned!

This thread is reminding me of 20,000 leagues under the sea!

I find that Seastars are quiet interesting and wierd. They look like stars and they can grow back limbs again.
