Marconi plays the rumba,,, lieten to the radio... oh remember... we built this city... we built this city on rock and roll... Ah... such happy memories of crap mid 80s radio friendly rock... Fly...
I walk out of a jefferson starship concert . in 1977 it had nothing to do with them let me explain what happen being used too the early 70s concert crowd and this crowd was not the same at all . im not sure what happen but the cool people i was used to see were not there. "i walk out even before the concert started. im sure Grace Slick would had been force to play a lot of the old jeferson stuff. is one of those strange feelins you get. i saw alice cooper, black sabbath x2 , emerson lake and palmer, quicksilver m service+ chambers brother ,chuck berry, in the same hall . it was not starship but the crowd a bunch of new disco looking teens . maybe i should had gotten blasted before the concert "we used to smoke as soon as the lights went dim" .
No way, sorry to hear that (even tho it was a long time ago) but yeah I saw them 2 years ago in London, got stoned in there & handed Paul K a spiff & he took it lol pity Grace doesn't tour with them it some Chic Called Diana Monango ?? She isn't bad at all quite good actually, not as good as Grace tho. Tom C from Quicksilver done a short set the last gig as well he was pretty cool
WELL Grace Slick to me was like the ozzy FEMALES almost like a gothic idol sort of thing . but after the jefferson she lost that darkness . beside she really only had a few good songs with starship. let me ask you this how many of her old hits did she sing? when you went.
Um, Somebody to Love, White Rabit, It's no Secret, Wodden Ships um, thats all I can think of t the moment. She was an icon tho I agree, I said to Paul that Blows against the Empire was a brilliant concept Album & he obviously agreed,
plastic fantastic lover ? volunteer of america is a good song but would not mean much in the u.k in 2005. Lather is a freaky little song .
Yeah, that's true I'm still not sure about an album I have, it's called Barron Von Toolbooth & the Chrome Nun, was this Starship, or just a project they did
Listening to them now...Prefer Jefferson Airplane to be honest. I wish I could go and see them though...
Well there on tour, check out www.jeffersonstarshipsf.com/ for more details, I do like them both but My fav album is Blows but do prefer Airplane myself
