Wow, you can really tell the difference in quality. Looks like your new camera will further enable your art....
As ever I am supportive of any upcoming artist and especialy one of your talent and eye. Love it, i'de like to see more.
oh, WOW. i love that fortune teller pic. it's very evocative, passionate, sexy. maybe it's just a factor of my overly-eroticized american mind, but that outthrusting leaf reminds me of a tongue. these are some amazing pics. i wouldn't mind having them on my walls. the beauty of the minute, looking at things up close, learning their layers and textures are my favorite activities.
Lace and feet - Digital and thank you. KC - I love hearing what others see in my photographs so thanks for the more indepth comment! I went back to look at Fortune Teller, and I see what you're saying. Thanks for making me see it in a different way and the sweet words. The macro world is definatly a beautiful one.
wow your photos make me want a better digital camera!!! then again i already wanted one, but now i want one more
Hmm, awesome shots! Which camera did you use? Dedicated macro lens, or just clever zooming? At the moment I'm using a Canon EOS-350D (you Americans call it the Digital Rebel for some fucking unknown reason). Yeah, we'd all love a D1 with a proper digital back but that ain't gonna happen. So sad, I recently lost a lot of my photos when my hard drive broke all my fucking wildlife shots, mountain scenery, the lot.
Caelynn - Thanks man. Raven - Thanks! Haha, I have The Rebel XTi, or the 400D, which I think is one model ahead of yours, the names are a little confusing. And I use 17-70mm Macro lens. I've only had it for a couple days, but definitely in love. Sorry about your hard drive though. That would drive me nuts! luckily if that happened to me I have most of my work on my website.
My god! I am truly impressed with how far digital photography has come. The professional photographers at the studio I used to work at were very anti-digital because they claimed the quality just wasn't up to par with film--but I know they'd change their minds if I showed them your photos. 'Dimension' makes me feel like I'm in a chic 1930's jazz lounge.
