A huge majority of the people who think Janis is a legend have only been listening to her for a couple of months, in my opinion. All of her songs that made the charts, except "Down on Me" (Piece of My Heart, Cry Baby, Me and Bobby McGee, and Get it While You Can) were not written by her. She could sing... woopteefuckindoo... lots of people can sing. She gets way more credit than she deserves. I had to do a project on her a couple years ago for choir class.
if i wanna give her credit i will give her all the credit i wish too .if you think she gets more credit than she deserves ( yeah thats your opinion ). my opinion is that she will always be a legend . her sounds and performances will always be remembered . down on me /peace /
