I just got my dreads yesterday. I got them done about 2 weeks ago but they weren't done right so I got a guy that actually had dreads to do them and they look much better. The tam in the pictures is homemade. My hair was about 6 inches when I dreaded them. They only shrunk a little. Not very noticeable. Check out the pictures below and comment on what you think. The rest of the pictures will be below.
Sorry - for me they just showed up as stuff like "/users/desktop/pic.jpg". My bad. Are they backcombed?
i never have quite understood why do people use bands.. what are they for? but ye that's a nice start
Most ppl seem to think they stop the "newly backcombed" dreads from falling out, in some cases they do...but most they just make things worse. Also, most types/brands of bands melt rather easily into the dread... fun fun!:smilielol5: eace:
I put the bands In because two weeks ago when I first got them done I took the bands out and the dreads fell apart. This time I got them re-dreaded and I am keeping them in. Also I don'twant my tips to be rounded. I want them to look more natural with the semi-dreaded ends. That is the way the dreads were like of the guy that did my hair and I really liked it. I like them rounded when they Are short but I am planning on letting them get long and I prefer the natural tips better when they are long.
ur cute^ take out the bands. your locks are gonna come loose and then tighten again. it's inevitable. the bands will only impede your locking progress.
i've heard that bands are great for encouraging the root to lock up. at least, if you place the bands near the root. havent heard anything about bands on the tips
an idiot musta told you that, cm. does it make sense that something holding your hair tightly in place would encourage it to move around and mat with the hair around it?
