Awesome writer. Well of Souls series is what he's well known for, but I really like The Dancing God series, he pokes light fun at fantasy novels. And his book Priam's Lens was good, too. But what the fuck were the gigantic flowers for???
it goes without saying i haven't read everything written by any one author, let alone the several for almost every letter of the alphabet i've read at least something by. so i can't comment on priam's world or its large flowers, at least i don't place the reference. i do remember the 1,2,1,3,2,1,4,3,2,1,5,4,3,2,1 turning off the universe dictating computer that everyone who tried it without the right sequence got killed by it for. on the first day of ..., i can't even, i was gonna say i couldn't remember the name of the book, but it was called masks of the martyrs, and it was the concluding book in one of those big famous series. i know i remember having read other things by him, but at the moment, i don't remember details of them. i'm pretty sure i read some of his shorter stuff, in analog back in the day. i'd say he creates interesting worlds and situations. and seems to have a pretty wide ranging familiarity with a diversity of real world cultures, and the capacity for diversity that diversity implies. =^^= .../\...
