I am obsessed with those! What a genius invention.. they really do pick songs that go great together, based on one song, I don't know how they do it, but they do a great job!

I don't have itunes, but i'm guessing by the genre in the tags, and other things that people that listen those songs also listen to.

    it is pretty cool.
for those not in the know, you select a song on your iTunes, press a button and iTunes will find other similar songs in your library and assemble a playlist for you.

I now have over 13 days of music on my iTunes/iPod.

damn, twice as much as me. do you even like all of it?

it's just the Genius button, it looks like the sign for the atom with the interlocking hoops. I got it when I downloaded the new version of iTunes.

Yeah I like most of it, some of it I will probably never listen to again though. It is all full albums as well. I ripped my cd's and also download a lot of discographies.

Ok I found the genius, mine was turned off. Does this sidebar thing actually recommend anything decent? Right on I love finding new music.

It is now sending info to apple? Uh oh

I used to have full albums on mine as well but now I only have albums I consider masterpieces or personal favorites - the rest I only have my favorite songs..

Thats pretty rad, I want to try mine out but it is still 'gathering info about my library'

I'm curious to try out the sidebar and see if it finds any good music for me.

I hope someone comes here and starts knocking iPods so I can laugh in their face. it is the only worldly thing that I feel I truly need.

you might have misunderstood, it only compiles a playlist from what you already have in your library.
