This is an image of Oudh ... perhaps you've heard of it? Oud or Oudh is by far one of the most expensive raw fragrance ingredients in the world. Also known as Agarwood, this essential oil is extracted from the fungus-infected resinous heartwood of the Agar tree, which is primarily found in the dense forests of Southeast Asia, India and Bangladesh. It is believed that for every ten trees in the wild, only one will have an infected heartwood. Due to the fact that the resin is only triggered by the formation of the mold, it’s estimated that a total of 2 percent of these trees produce it. This contributes to its status as the most expensive commodity on the essential oil market. A kilogram of gold is worth roughly $48000.00. A kilogram of Oudh oil can be worth up to $50000.00.
Yeah, let's all invest in it and drive the price up so more forests get stripped looking for this new 'gold.'
Once I was gifted a small jar of incense labeled "Miskh-al-Oudh" . It was pieces covered with a white substance, the best I've ever tried, such a fresh, deep smell. I can believe that it is very sought after.
In Arab countries even the men burn Oudh and allow the smoke to infiltrate their robes. Scent lasts a long time.
Now Google "price of scorpion venom per gram". Not too hard to farm them on a lil' patch in the desert dotted with used mobile homes acting as bug barns. (This is actually part of the 5 year plan for me)
No thanks I'll keep buying share after daily share of medical cannabis stock. Cannabis is a guarantee short term and long term profit gain and should be in everyone's portfolio.
Well, I think I need more data before I start investing in something like this. For instance, what is the expected ROI?
