it sure would be nice to be a plastic sailor

i just wrote this, apparently.


I'd like to sail on a plastic boat
filled with many little plastic men
We could all sing songs of sea
and be little plastic friends

Even if it wasn't really real
it would never have to end
Cos once we reach the front of my door
we'd all be real again

whenever i try to write a happy poem like that one it always turns out kindof glum...

 

i just try to not write poems or songs that have been written a thousand times before.

... i wrote a poem for a girl.. once... that went over pretty well i guess

 

once upon a time
there was a plastic boy
he liked to play with cardboard
and make little cardboard toys

then one day
the cardboard was struck by lightning
"oh no whats going to happen?!!?!"
it was very frightning

the cardboard sprouted an arm
then another popped out
the cardboard grew a head
and let out a gangly shout

after he was done screaming
he introduced himself
"hello, i'm cardboard boy
and i'm here to help you out"

from that day on
they were the greatest heroes in the world
the only things they couldnt get
were a couple of faithful girls
