It pisses me off...

when I am jogging around my neighborhood and nasty guys honk their car horns, whistle, shout, make kissy noises, or any other derogatory remarks/sounds. It's not like i'm wearing short shorts or a bikini top for christ's sake. I'm wearing my fucking sweats and t-shirt.
There was actually this time where a guy drove around my block twice, passing me twice just to make lewd remarks while i was exercising.
I'm so bothered by this.... :$

 

I know what you mean. I get that reaction too. I'll be walking around the neighborhood pushing a stroller with my 2 year old twins in it, and my 5 year old in tow, and guys will honk, whistle, circle the block, drive past me slowly and make "eyes" at me with a what I assume they think is a "come hither" look that only disgusts me. I mean, for crying out loud, yes I'm flattered to know that I've still "got it" but please, can't they refrain from that when my kids are around? Not that they're doing anything obscene, I just get offended, because I feel like a piece of meat when they do that, and it also make me feel vulnerable, fearful because you never know what might happen with some nut in the world today. I'd have much more respect for a man who might engage in a little friendly conversation or an innocent smile and wave at my kids as I walk past.

Not to mention that I'm married and not on the market.

 

Haha, I was sitting in my car quite some time ago and this man probably in his 80's looks at me with these googly eyes and says 'hey goodlooking' and winks at me.....

 

I've seen guys take pictures of me with their cell phones while I run or work out at the gym. It's fucking pathetic.

anyway, all that doesn't really bother me unless i feel physically threatened.

 

I don't really get the honking thing...it does make me feel kind uncomfortable...


like the other day i was out walking with some (guy) mates and some randos in a car slowed down to make lewd comments about my boobs - it was quite awkward, none of my guy mates knew what to say...

 

One day when you're older you'll miss it.

 

this has happened to me a lot. Thats part of the reason I dont go jogging or walking by myself anymore. It's annoying.

I think you girls need to turn it around on the guys and start harassing us. I wish someone would treat me like a piece of meat. Oh well, I guess the grass is always greener...

 

once a car full of girls was doing this to my husband as we were in our car they were next to us in their car flirting at him..I looked over and made a gesture with my tongue between my fingers ( the eat a girl out kinda thing) and they ran off in their car totaly stunted hahaha...I was like yeah bitches.

even tho i'm a guy that sorta stupidity gets on my nerves as well, & especialy if i'm in the car with some idiot acting that way, i mean it just makes me look bad for hanging out with morons.. i used to always say something whenever they did that but gave up long ago, cause they just never understand ..not sure if its a matter of immaturity, stupiduty or insecurity..maybe all of the above.. but whatever it is, it only justifies my lack of respect for the "average guy"

you know, my brother was driving me to school one day, and he honked and whistled at this girl walking along the sidewalk (a girl in my grade). and i said to him "i can't believe you just did that, that's so rude" and his response was "girls love it when you do that."

i can tell you, diane did NOT like it. but i did get some insight into the male psyche. he wasn't trying to scare or intimidate her, he was just trying to give a passing compliment. he's just in a different world.

 

uggghhh i hate that shit too, because it does get out of hand my god if you even make eye contact after they honk then they assume that you want them so like a idoit they turn around and pull over to talk and get your number, and yes i've had this happen many times. I feel like i can't even walk anywhere alone anymore.I just want to walk, jog, run in peace, without people shouting whistling, or pulling over.... fuck maybe i should make a sandwhich sign and wear that when i go for a walk that says leave me alone or i'll stab you.

 

hehe. yup. you could always pack on about 40 pounds to get them to slow down the catcalls and groping (slow-down, not stop). worked for me.

 

I think i'm going to change careers and go into construction where its acceptable to catcall women, this world is getting too pc for me.

I've never actually seen a guy doing it from a car, but I've seen it walking down the street.
