I always have the feeling that I'm just short of some sort of epiphany, where I'll understand the world. Everything seems so strange to me. Which doesn't make any sense, because "strange" is relative, so how can everything be strange? Sometimes I look in the mirror and it startles me. It doesn't feel like I'm looking at a reflection. It feels like I'm looking at a person.

Sometimes I'll spend hours alone contemplating the world around me and my place within it, and the place of everybody else within it, and occasionally I'll get this feeling like I'm so close to understanding... something. I don't even know what it is sometimes. Maybe I'm not really that close to any answers, considering I don't even know what the question is. But it sure as hell feels like it when I have those moments.

the infinite complexity of the diversity of reality, is eternally and inherently beyond the grasp of its totality by minds such as ours. possibly even by minds such as any.

Maybe its because every moment experienced is a moment of realization of reality every thought within the mind is a solved version of this external world I mean we can only be conscious do to the physical experiences of the past these references to objects, words, ideas, ppl... and how they interact with each other and u, are memory's that enables thought which ultimately is the identity of an individual mind and individual understanding of reality. So when u stop and think about everything that is u it feels that u are thinking about the world itself, after all we all know oneself well and understand whats within what makes us in to us which in turn means we understand our own personal reality. I think this is why the feeling of epiphany seems so near reason being we understand our personal known reality well but at the same time we realize that there is the unknown external reality still to be experienced and understood which leads to total confusion when trying to understand all of reality as a whole but it always seems possible.

But as mnax said I don't think anyone's body&brain or mind could possibly be capable of experiencing all of reality and all of time in order to understand it all.
