Israel or Iran? Who would u want to win in a war?

If Israel attacked Iran and a war kicked off, who would you want to win? Who would this world be better off without?

My personal opinion is that id want Iran to win. Purely because of the fact that Israel is an illegal state trying to take over the planet just ruthlessly killing innocent people. I dont agree with all of the decisions of the Iranian government either but they aren't out killing people and starting wars on a daily basis.

In a hypothetical war between the two countries, I'd be pulling for Israel and my money would be on them too. Militarily speaking, Iran is a fucking joke.

First of all, Israel was not around first, Persian empire has been around for over 4000 years, Israel only came about 65 years ago or so, and yes everyone has the right to live, but you dont occupy someone elses home and kill them off claiming 'God' has given the land to you!! come on man

According to BOTH sides, they have been fighting over that same plot of land for damn thousands of years. It's a fucking family squabble, always has been, always will be. Read your history.

Israel only came about in the late 1940's, and 2ndly, these 2 countries are not fighting over any land, i think your confusing Palestine here, they are fighting the Palestinians for the land not the Iranians.

I agree, the state of Israel is not the ancient kingdom of the jews and one of the only things the current country of Iran has in common with the older persian empires is that some of it is in the same location.

 

Whatever, sure the present "state" of Israel is new, but the whole dispute has been, is and will continue to be a family fight going back generations between the Arab nations and Israel.
Sure if you only want to focus on the last century and forget the thousands of years of prior bad-blood, fine, but realize that all the "current" issues you want to pile on top as cause/explanations still all boil down to that centuries old dispute.

As far as who would win, you "Persians" would get stomped hard, no doubt.

If I remember correctly Israel has compulsory military service and aren't they required to keep their weapons when discharged and stay trained?
So you have a populous that is armed and trained.

I've played tons of real time strategy games and I know just how such a conflict would play out.
"Persia" would attack, Israel would turtle-up and just slaughter all the little Persians as they attempted to wage conventional warfare until Persia has nothing left, then it's time for offensive maneuvers.
Persia sucks in the air, so that's out, they suck at the sea, so no good there, only two options left, ground troops and nukes.
Ground troops will never overtake Israel, so the poor Persians would have to resort to nukes and then the rest of the world would probably wipe the Persian stain from the planet once and for all.

Iran and Israel both have oppressive governments so I´m supporting neither in a war.

 

I wouldn’t want a war full stop, it would not be good for anyone pulled into it and the rest of the world generally.


Don’t you think we have enough trouble in the world without even contemplating such scenarios especially when presented in such simplistic terms?
