If you view in your mind the world from outerspace and see all the humans walking around, shopping, working etc...

It all just seems weird. We are born, go to school, get a job, get married have kids then die. It's just like a monopoly game. And how we have other people controlling what we do in life, what we eat etc... and all for what exactly? Also, how we have wars against each other just for power. But what good is power when you are dead?

my wild guess is there are a select few have been around for all of times and either keep being revived, replaced, or organs replaced, that know everything from the beginning. with this immense knowledge they have created this system of control, by keeping the secret knowledge to themselves, thus being able to manipulate us for their own reasons.. profit, etc... the power and knowledge stays in their bloodline to ensure they stay in control always. i say screw them, who needs money or their help what so ever... our best effort is to turn our backs on them and look inside and figure things out for ourselves thus taking away their power...

    Isn't life weird?

Yes it is-are there any other questions?

Seriously, if an alien from outer space came where I live now, he'd probably put his spaceship into warp drive and get the hell out of here as quick as he could.....

I had this epiphany when I was 6 and studied an ant hill for a few hours.

Good way to gain objectivity on human foibles. Sometimes difficult to do because of the physical and mental entanglements of just being in the mileau that has been created for/by us. For me ,an excellant way to observe that the whole of human society is mostly out of balance from that which would serve us more fairly and efficiently.
We COULD control our own destiny and that of the earth, however I'm sure superior alien observers would see this joint as an armed and intellectually stunted mad house.

Haven't you noticed that fractals exist for practically every occurrence in nature? Whatever is happening(even societies), it's also happening in scales that are faster and smaller or larger and slower. In essence it's like viewing the inside of a massive clock. There are smaller and larger gears, always turning.

This happens in physics, too. Every time mankind invents a more powerful microscope, the universe shrinks; invent a more powerful telescope and it stretches. You think the smallest particle is a cell, until you find the atom. Think that's the smallest until you find the electron, proton and neutron. Think they're the smallest? Maybe; until you find quarks and antiquarks.

If you think there is an end to a cycle or a smallest or largest representing the tips of the Universe's meaning. Then congrats, the universe fooled you.

I read this little book once , the astral realms . It was on the astral plane, the stuff and critters there . The author discribed a level on the astral plane where dead people recreated the kind of life they had while alive . Banks , schools , shopping centers , homes , ect. a kind of living in denial . After reading this many years ago , I some times wounder , am I living on earth or some kind of self made hell ? Yes if you view the critters on earth(astral projection) from space it does look weird . desert rat

Stop being associated with verbs, all-together. Think about it. It's impossible. Because then you would have ceased to be...and that's a verb. Stop being, and you still "would have been being". (the rare conditional past perfect progressive tense) ;)

to be or not to be.. to be is to exist with the knowledge that you are.... to not be well, if as jaredfelix said "we will always be, energy can not be created or destroyed" to not be might mean to have changed the manner in which our energy presented, i mean who is to say that if i wanted i could suddenly turn too air? or maybe i could slip into an alternate dimension where my energy would not exits in a way that makes any sense to us in our dimension.....

:book: alan watts said a funny thing in "the book" he wrote ("on the taboo of knowing who you really are"). he said humans could come to see themselves as mobile tubes, if they believed what they were taught about being human. tubes that walk around, shoving food in one end of the tube, expelling it again (somewhat digested) from the other, and then of course, making new tubes, and fighting other tubes. a lot.

alan watts is someone worth reading. especially if you're tired of just being a tube and you think there might just be something else going on.... :sunny:

Tubes,eh? That's about it. No point to it. Very little human organizational ability that makes sense according to the "morality" we've invented. Rushing headlong into certain demise. Flapping lips that want equity. Opposing forces that deny it. Living in a world of cannibalism where each organism maintains some semblance of life by the intake of other organisms. We come and make our little noises, take ourselves seriously, as if any of it matters and then we go,soon to be forgotten. Yes--life is weird, but our lives are all we have and all we know.
I did not feel this way when I was young. I now feel like I know too much and have accepted it. I also now feel I know nothing and likewise have accepted that.

The more insight you get the weirder it seems. I wish I perceived it all in a more sensible way sometimes. When you're ignorant of the weirdness you can have more fun in the rat race :D

A subject in philosophy here at WVU discussed that.. the universe is infinite meaning that it is never ending, so this will all happen again - IF THINGS ARE OCCURING. However, if everyone in the earth said, "this is pointless, to run around scrambling for this and that while im here." - So they stopped. Then the universe is infinite of 0, thus nothing ever occuring for infinity. The way I took it into my own perspective.. "go out and live it in love & let joy be life's motivation of reoccurance." Idk if it can make sense to you, but I enjoyed the thought of simplifying life on those terms..
