    im almost finished with this book. I would love to discuss the right/wrong way to live. the role of control. the irony of Ishmael.

    I'm dissapointed....no question. Not discussion about the book?
    Well, what the hell- I'll try and pose a question:
    According to Quinn our "taker" society is like a flapping-winged early airplane that is plummiting to earth. (Wo)man-kind must abandon our current path, or we will truly be destroyed....But...can the technologies that damned us, turn around and save us?
    To put it in a metaphorical way- if you have an eingener on the plane, can you fix it for flight, in the act of falling?
    I would urge you to look at the "massive change" project. I hope to hear a response from you.

    I thought it was a great book. It took a pretty harsh and basic look at our culture and what we have done, but it offered a solution. I liked it.
