It's a superb song but shoved in my face (ears) too often against my will. Now I just sigh when I see those lyrics or hear this song. Another gem ruined by overplaying.

Nah, actually it is a very good song, just extremely overplayed by AOR radio, as Asmodean stated.

I feel the same way about Pink Floyd's albums, starting with DSOTM. They are one of my all-time favorite bands, but the radio has done so much to tarnish their music. It really blows.

 

Overplaying? Since you are also in the Netherlands you probably hear this song just once a year. And you know when!

Yes, I know: I watch that shit every year with pleasure but although the top 10 is good it gets quite boring. Really heard it too much, if I only heard it once a year I probably would still enjoy it. Now I enjoy it most with the Wayne's World scene :2thumbsup:

I sometimes hate that song and I sometimes don't.
I really hate hearing certain people when they just break out singing the i'm just a poor boy from... part. But some of the song is awesome.
