Is this dumb? I am so ANGRY! And sick of useless rules!

Okay so my school is forcing me to buy a driving permit. Even if i never set wheel on their property and park somewhere else, i still have to pay and hang their tag on my mirror. There is no other option! I live too far to ride a bike and my mom cant drive me. Im a goddamn 17 y/o senior! How can they force me to do this??? Oh and my mom found out i was not "being obedient" to the principle and is mad at me now, and says im stupid. Im just sick of being pushed around and bullied into obeying everyones dumb rules. Is that so wrong?

 

I don't get it. Let's pretend for a minute that your mom can drive you, would they force you to buy the permit? Why not just tell them your mother is driving you, then park somewhere else? I can't see how they would ever know the difference...

If however you need to park on the school's property, then it only makes sense that they would charge you for a permit.

 

Right. i agree if i use their property i should, but i wouldnt have. And i go to a very small school. They know everyyything. i told them i would ride a bike and they said, "all the way from brownsburg?" so there went that. i just needed to vent. I was so angry i actually cut myself.

Its all about control, so fuck it, don't park on school property and they cant do anything about it. And if you decide to get a permit then its solved too. How much is the Permit?

 

Oh yeah. On the original topic: fuck that. There's no way you need to pay for a permit if you're not parking on school property. Just say no. They can't do shit.

 

Thanks guys! I needed to feel justified. They know i drive (small school) and my mom found out. The dean is a pretty cool, respectable guy otherwise, so i went ahead and got one. Fuck it, im almost out, freeeedom!

 

they wanted that with me too. Like every high school. I found it ridiculous because the parking permit was SO high. So I got really really lucky and went all year without getting caught. and it was my senior year

Id park in the back.

 

how much is a parking permit, at my school they're only like 5$... but then agian theres 3000 students supplementing the school boards pocket from this school alone so maybe they don't care.....
