Off-topic yes lol I've seen a bird like this in a few designs and illustrations now...is it based on an actual bird? Does anyone know? I know they aren't identical but they seem to be coming from the same place.
ok third post in a row, sorry, but i think i know where you can get your answer, go to www.bmezine.com
lol@Phil idk if it's a real bird. Irish birds don't look like that they are more in the range of one legged, dirty poop hanging off their feathers. Why don't you get one of those?
Hmm, now that I know it's a phoenix it feels a bit unoriginal. I need some kind of trailing-tailed bird for a design I'm working on. I'd rather try to use a real bird than one from my imagination, but don't want a peacock, because the size is wrong for my design and its tail has too many feathers. The two pics above seemed good because the bird is ornamental and pretty, without toooo much tail detail going on. Hmmm *puzzled face*
No I didn't search for peacocks... the similarities seem rather broad for it to be likely that they're actual peacocks, unless there is some lesser-known breed than the stereotypical one? Maybe they're just a fantastical mish-mash of different birds.
Ok I've just found this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v106/DiamondFangs/phoenix.jpg Reckon that's what they are then
Tattoo design still There's a bird, well two actually, and I need to figure out what they are before I can draw them lol
