Is there anybody out there?

Who enjoys Pink Floyd as much as me??? If you are a big fan, what are some of your favorite albums and why?

 

i cant really pick a favorite album for sure you know... sometimes i feel more like one album and sometimes and feel more like another

but if i had to say right now ... Animals

but Darkside and the Wall are fine too ... my alltime favorite song's gotta be Empty Spaces + Young Lust ...

that solo in empty spaces is awesome ... the transition from one song to the other is unearthly ... and young lust as a whole is just pure awesomeness...

listening to these 2 songs in sequence always give the chills ... :2thumbsup:

Agreed man, The Wall is a work of absolute genius. And wow dude what a trip! My favorite is Animals right now too, but nobody else seems to see how incredible that album really is. In fact rolling stone gave it 1 1/2 stars out of 5... what the fuck is up with that??

But yeah picking an all time favorite is an arduous task.. haha

animals is absolutely amazing.

to me its like ... a journey , a trip ... its awesome

and so are other floyds albums, but right now i have a particular crush on animals

How do you guys feel about "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn"? That's one of the other standouts..

 

I've played that album (an old favorite) for a number of people in the last few years. Most find it terribly annoying and about half flat out said "please turn off this awful music." Weird.

 

The wall... By Far, easily the wall.

 

That's truly ridiculous, that album is a psychedelic masterpiece. You can call a lot of things awful, but it takes true talent to make something as obscure and interesting as Piper. Perhaps spike their drinks with liquid LSD next time? :devil: hahaha

 

My favorite is definitely Piper At The Gates Of Dawn because I like Sid era Floyd. I also like Dark Side a lot because it is good smokey listening.

 

Well DSOTM blew me away when it first came out and still does after 100,000 plays lol. Greatest Album of all time. A True work of Perfection. From the album design to Allan Parsons engineering... But "Wish You Were Here" is also my favorite. I've decided I can have two favorites.

 

I love Floyd.....BUT I HATE THE WALL....it's NOT Floyd at all.....the worst album ever in rockland.....ohhhhh Syd where are you man;!!!

 

how was the wall a bad album? you're SO stuck up and pretentious.. SMH

 

One of their later works, "the division bell", is one of my favorites. Its very emotionally charged, and is just a really epic album.

The end song, "high hopes" is one my favorite, if not my favorite floyd song.

Pink Floyd is an album band let alone I dare say a catalog band. I could never pick a favorite Disk I love them all although Bike is my favorite song. I love Sid's sincerity and his true inner child, after that would probably eclipse

 

floyd rock! theres none of their stuff i don't love. it all rocks.

 

If "The Machine" is ever in your town, it is worth going to see them. They are a great tribute band! They are spot on with a lot of it, with a bit of their own twist. They really carry the spirit of Pink Floyd.
