If there is I wonder if understanding it and dealing with it may help to solve the problems curently growing between men and women.

I've heard wives say ' We had to getup at 5 and drive a hundred miles to stand in a freezing cold forest just to see some rally cars roar past in the rain ,then all the way home again and I was expected to provide a meal. '

or 'I hate Christmas, I seem to spend all my time making endless cups of tea and serving food to visitors who never lift a finger to help .'

I say 'then why do it? Tell them youre not dong it'. and they say 'Oh no. You have to do it, or you get left behind and told youre boring'.

There seems to be an understanding that you do what the man wants. I've known women who dumped their boyfriends because they were too complacent. 'I want him to TELL me what to do' .

In a number of rape allagtions it emerged that the complainant allowed herself to be lured into trap by trusting what a man told her.

I know there are many assertive women who don't go along with this , but it does sem to be at the root of some of the problems between the sexes. Should men be more aware of this passivity and avoid taking advantage of it? All thoughts welcome.

All I can say about submissiveness an overly dominant partner, both seem to lead to unhappiness in the relationship
Unless the partners are matched just right, so to speak.

Otherwise this unhappiness is unhealthy and leads to resentment, and I am sure it leads to affairs for those who can’t leave for one reason or another.
